Modern Panopticon was made in the context of surveillance and data collection becoming increasingly inescapable. Online, every click is monitored and analyzed by corporations who care about profit more than user experience. This creates a hostile environment for the user.

In this piece, a central force is watching over everything. When the mouse is pressed, alerted by the user’s presence, another surveillance agent appears to investigate and analyze the data left behind. As more agents are added, the camera sounds get louder, signaling that they are closing in on the user.
